Client (Network)

The process that requests a service in a networked application is known as the client. The client implements part of an application protocol that requests a service from a remote server on behalf of a user agent. Informally, the term client can also refer to the end-system that makes the request and the human user who implicitly initiates a network request by using the user agent.
